The Alma College Choir will be in concert Wednesday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Rehoboth Reformed Church in Lucas. They will be singing church classics, spirituals, gospel, and folk-songs from around the world. A special treat will be a performance by Scots on the Rock, an 8-voice acappella group that features the three young men from McBain.

We continue our response to the disaster in Haiti with our prayers, financial gifts and Health Kits - instructions for the Kits are on the table in the narthex; your generosity is so appreciated!!
On Saturday, March 20, the youth are proud to present a combined evening of dinner and entertainment in United Methodists’ Got Talent!. A delicious spaghetti supper including vegetable, bread and dessert will be prepared and served by our youth at 6:00 p.m.. Immediately following dinner will be a talent show featuring some of our congregation’s most creative and interesting talents. Performing in the show will be singers, dancers, actors, and musicians - as well as some very special “celebrity guests”. We will also have booths available to display other, non-performance talents such as crafting, sewing, photography, or jewelry making. Anyone interested in participating should contact Debbie Pant (779-2999) as soon as possible. Tickets to the dinner and show are just $10 each and will go on sale TODAY.
Wesley Fellowship will be meeting at Bob Evans on Thursday, March 4 at 9:00 a.m..
The Mark White Band & Tony Tyce will be performing at McBain Baptist Church on Sunday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m.; the concert is free to all. For more info, check out the flier on the youth bulletin board.

The second session of our All Church Lenten Study will be tonight from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.. Our study Fire on the Mountain - Not by Bread Alone will include a Pizza Dinner - complete with salad, dessert and beverage. We will eat, sing some favorite hymns, view the DVD and have some table discussion. Each session stands alone; so if you missed last week, know you are welcome to come. Child care will be available for the younger children.
The Cadillac Area Lenten Breakfasts sponsored by the Cadillac Area Ministerial Association will be held from 7:00 to 7:50 a.m. each Wednesday during Lent. You are cordially invited to breakfast this Wednesday, March 3 at First Christian Church. The speaker will be Pastor Brian Seivert from the Cadillac Christian Reformed Church. Included is breakfast , singing & a meditation beginning at 7:00 a.m. & ending promptly at 7:50 a.m. so you may be to work on time or on to other business of the day. A freewill offering is received. The entire community is invited to attend. |
