We need help in sorting and bagging the food on Friday, December 11 and help also with the distribution on Saturday, December 12. A sign-up board is in the narthex. In addition, we need youth volunteers on Saturday, December 12, who would be willing to help those who come, shop and carry their bags. Thanks to all who have already volunteered. You are all needed and appreciated!!
Those serving in the military in our nation are away from home and loved ones. Mail is a connection that they look forward to daily - a word of care and encouragement. Do you have a family member or friend who is currently serving our nation? We would like their addresses so we can offer our congregation opportunity to be encouragers to these soldiers. Helen Quinn will be coordinating this effort. Please give her the FULL address of your loved one or friend or you may email it to her. A list of those name and addresses will be shared with the congregation as soon as we have them assembled.
Sandy Bode will give a piano concert on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Rehoboth Reformed Church in Lucas. The music will feature her new CD Inspirations which includes her arrangements of hymn favorites and more. All profits from the benefit concert will be used to help families with special needs children. A free will offering will be received.
The 2010 Flower Chart is available on the bulletin board in the office hallway. You may sign-up to honor or remember a person(s) or special occasion. The flowers are $15 - simply remit through your regular offering envelope or a pew envelope.
