On Sunday, September 27, we will begin a church wide worship emphasis called Enough: Discovering Joy Through Simplicity and Generosity. Over a period of five weeks, we will look at some of the financial challenges facing us as a nation and examine our own spending, saving, and giving habits. In addition to exploring biblical principles of financial management, we will learn ways to assess our financial situation and develop a financial plan that will allow us to experience the true joy that comes through simplicity and generosity. At the end of the emphasis, we will have the opportunity to make personal commitments of giving for the coming year. We will consecrate our commitments on October 25. Visit our website, www.umccadillac.org, for more information.
CROP Walk is still in need of walkers and driver(s) to help pick up those who might not be able to complete the entire walk. Please call Pat Schroeder or sign up at the CROP Walk table.
Purchase a community discount card! The youth are selling cards which feature our church with worship times & contact information on the front and discounts from 19 local businesses on the back. This is NOT a punch card; it can be used over & over until August 31, 2010. They make valuable birthday or Christmas gifts & also make a powerful statement as they are used throughout town - give one to a friend or neighbor who does not have a church. Cards are just $20; proceeds to our 2010 mission trip.
Methodist Men will meet at the church Thursday, September 24 at 6:00 p.m.. We will start the evening with our usual "outstanding potluck" dinner followed by a business meeting, devotions and program by Robert Gattlin, Executive Director of the Cadillac Visitors Bureau. Hosts are Tom Dean & Dick Jones. Bring a friend and join us!
Thursday, October 1, is Game Night for Wesley Fellowship. Couples and singles are always welcome. Bring your favorite game along with a dish to pass for the 6:00 p.m. potluck. Jerry & Joyce Seward are your hosts this month.

Secret Saint sign-up begins today. We will be set up in Fellowship Hall following both services. Be sure to stop by and select which college student you would like for this school year!!!
On Sunday mornings during worship, we have a variety of options for our children. At the 8:30 worship, staffed child care is available for infants through 3 & 4 year olds. During the 11:00 worship, there is a staffed nursery for young children through 3 & 4 year olds. Following the Time With the Children, there is Sermontime - a time of learning for those in kindergarten through second grade held in our 1st & 2nd grade classroom. Children 3 and 4 years old may go to the nursery during Sermontime.
