WELCOME AND PARISH NOTES

*CALL TO CELEBRATION

One:..........We journey through this place every week

All:..........yet we have never been in exactly this space before.

One:..........We gather as a community every week

All:..........yet we have never been exactly

this group of people before.

One:..........We hear the Word every week

All:..........yet we have never heard these words

exactly this way before.

One:..........The journey always changes us

influencing us in a million different ways

for here we meet a God

whose love, truth and grace

are eternity’s constants but whose story

grows in the telling and never leaves us the same.

All:..........We meet God every day

but we have never met God today exactly this way before.

PRAYER HYMN....................#2202

Come Away With Me”

Unison Prayer
Lord, we gather here this morning with lives that are filled with activity and movement. We rush from one thing to another as though we are going to run out of time to accomplish everything. Help us to let go of the hectic times and the stresses and find our rest in you. Relax our spirits and refresh our souls. Remind us that there will always be things to do and places to go, but that we need the rest of spirit that you provide. Amen.

A Prayer for Healing” vs. 1,2,3 and 6

Tune: Amazing Grace

  1. To you, O Lord, we turn our face;

We seek Your saving love.

Touch every life with healing grace

That comes from God above.

  1. O God, our Maker, touch the ill,

The hurt, infirm, and lame.

Work mighty wonders as You will,

And glorify Your name.

  1. Forgive and heal our sinful ways

That keep us from Your best;

Hallow and bless our future days:

So shall we find Your rest.

  1. Bring healing to land, sea and air;

Reveal Your power to save;

Guide us to use with prayerful care

The wondrous gifts You gave.
