THE PEOPLE OF GOD PRAYING

during the Prayer of the People, please hand it to an usher.

PRAYER HYMN....................#503

Let It Breathe on Me”

UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Mighty and merciful God, forgive us. It is easy for us to get caught up in material things. Not content with what we have, we seek more. Instead of receiving gifts graciously, we are frustrated we did not get what we wanted. Help us to be grateful for the blessings we have. Help us to remember that there are many who have no food or shelter. Forgive us when we fail to see the needs of those around us. Open our hearts to share the most precious gift of all, your grace. Amen.

WORDS OF PROMISE
Beloved, hear these words from the gospel of John: “To all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God.” In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Amen.

The Flowers on the Lord’s Table are given

by Doug & Amy Gullekson in loving memory

of Jean Gullekson.

Do you have a tough time separating “wants” from “needs”? Do you sometimes feel consumed by the desire to have more? Do you ever look at your surroundings and feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of things? When is enough, enough? Today in worship, we will release these burdens, address our human tendency head-on, and learn how to consciously change our ways. We also will distribute a special tool to encourage you in your pursuit of contentment: contentment key tags. Each key tag has a prayer of contentment printed on it. We encourage you to keep the tag on your key chain as a daily reminder to re-focus on contentment and simplicity.

On Sunday mornings during worship, we have a variety of options for our children.

At the 8:30 worship, staffed child care is available for infants through 3 & 4 year olds.

During the 11:00 worship, there is a staffed nursery for young children through 3 & 4 year olds. Following the Time With the Children, there is Sermontime - a time of learning for those in kindergarten through second grade held in our 1st & 2nd grade classroom. Children 3 and 4 years old may go to the nursery during Sermontime.
