Just As I Am” Arr. John Carter

UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION

During Lent, dear Lord,
Please remember us as
The children of your creation, born fresh and loving,
Open to life and people, growth and new being.
During Lent, dear Lord,
Forget my mistakes, selfish behavior,
Stubborn will and scattered living.
You have created and loved us —
But sometimes we forget you, Oh God.
Love us back to you, Lord.
Lead us in your forgiving way.
Guide us as we journey through Lent;
Guide us to new living in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank you to the United Methodist Women for providing the luncheon following the funeral service of Harold Gekeler. It was greatly appreciated. The Gekeler Family

In his passing, Harold Gekeler left behind two kitties, Tiger and Priscilla, who are looking for a new home, or homes. Tiger is a mellow 16 year old male tabby. He’s a “good ole guy” that lies around most of the time, but still plays. Priscilla is a middle aged, white and orange female, with a tail that wags like a dog (gotta see it.) Both cats are indoor/outdoor and litter trained. If you would like to consider adopting one or both of these kitties, please call Steve Gorski, Harold’s grandson, at 775-0684.

The Chancel Choir is seeking some seasonal singers. Would you be able to sing during the Lenten and Easter seasons? Several of our members are in warmer climates; we could use a few extra voices. No auditions - just a desire to praise the Lord. Practice is each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Come on along!!

United Methodist Women will hold a workshop to tie quilts at the church on Tuesday, March 17 at 9:00 am. Anyone welcome, bring a sack lunch and come join us.

The United Methodist Women are saving the following for missions: Spartan Labels (displaying the UPC barcode as well as the Spartan name) which are being saved for cash money, and pop tabs or rings which are given to United Methodist Community House. You can drop these items off at the church; boxes are available on the table in the Fellowship Hall.

Escape the Stress of Poverty, a Community Forum, presented by nationally recognized expert on poverty, Donna Beagle, will be held on Tuesday, March 24 from 9:00 a.m. - Noon at the Cadillac Area Public Schools Community Auditorium. All members of the community are welcome. Admission is free.
