PRAYER HYMN..................................................................................................#347 “Spirit Song”
UNISON PRAYER O Lord, we recognize that in this gathering of people, in a place like this, in times like these, there are those who are wounded, who are hurting and who are struggling with hopelessness. Lord Jesus, as you touched the hurting and healed the wounded, we pray that you would touch and heal us today. We pray for your healing of physical needs, in emotional and spiritual brokenness and in fractured relationships. Mostly, though, we pray for faith, faith to wait and faith to stand up under the deeper hurt that often comes with your healing. Give us faith to trust your healing. Amen.

An update on Bill Irvine: Mary and Pete Buehler visited him on Thursday, February 12 and reported that they had moved Bill to rehab that day. The doctors say he will be there two weeks. His address is: Bill Irvine, St. Mary’s Hospital, Inpatient Rehab Unit, Room 3914, 1601 West St. Mary’s Street, Tucson, AZ 85745.
Ann Everett has requested help for a new neighbor of hers. This woman recently moved in and has the bare minimum of furnishings, only a bed and recliner. This new friend of Ann’s needs end tables, lamps, a television set and dinette set. If you are able to help meet some of these needs, please speak with Ann after the late service today or call her. Thank you very much for whatever furnishings you can offer.
The Chancel Choir is seeking some seasonal singers. Would you be able to sing during the Lenten and Easter seasons? Several of our members are in warmer climates; we could use a few extra voices. No auditions - just a desire to praise the Lord. Practice is each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Come on along!!

The Flowers on the Lord’s Table are given by Betty Klinker in honor of Karen Klinker and Amanda Anderson’s birthdays.
The Flowers on the Chancel are from the funeral service for Alex Harrison which was held in our sanctuary on Wednesday.
The Annual Youth Chili Cook-Off and Silent Auction (you can begin bidding at 9:30) is TODAY following the late service. Stop in Fellowship Hall this morning, bid on some baskets, taste come chili, vote for your favorite and take home some baked goods. Fun for all ages. Proceeds go towards the youth mission trip and summer concert event.
Thank you for once again practicing “radical hospitality” as a congregation for the celebration of Alex Harrison’s life last Wednesday. Each chair mover, salad bringer, plate washer, food preparer, phone answerer or whatever role you filled was so very much appreciated. We had over 650 persons in our church that morning - your help and concern made a tremendous difference to the Harrison Family during this difficult time. |
