Our
July Loose
Plate Offering
goes towards a daily devotional for military and public service
professionals. It is called “Strength for Service to God
and Country.” This devotional was distributed during World
War II and the Korean conflict before it went out of print. In
2002, a young man was inspired by his grandfather’s worn
copy and began working to republish the book as his Eagle Scout
project. Strength
for Service
books have not only been given to troops deploying to the Middle
East and Afghanistan, they have also been sent to institutions
caring for the wounded. Our goal is to send 100 copies with a
cost $4.90 each. Please help us reach this goal; we know we can
do it!! July’s food collection will be going to the King’s Storehouse. We are requesting peanut butter, jelly/jam and saltine crackers. Please bring your contribution today or next Sunday. Thank you.
Equal Exchange Coffee Sale (decaf and regular) will be held TODAY following both worship services. |
